/signed: I really like the idea of several cross-continet quests. Obviously the weapons crafted will be epic only in the looks.
It would be cool if they had a different color from green/gold/purple and took the name from the character who are crafted for.

The idea reminds me of the special Winterday (I think?) multiple-part quests - obtaining termites from a little pier on the beach near the Ascalon Settlement, fighting on the Watchtower Coast, some strange mud farmer near Temple of the Ages. That wasn't exactly "epic", but it was, on a smaller scale, the same sort of idea.
